REVERSE OSMOSIS DIONIZED WATER SYSTEMS
Corrosion Specialty Services Engineering Department can design and fabricate custom designed systems to meet your water quality standards. From small systems with one or two user points, to large distribution networks spanning multiple buildings, CPE will not only supply the RODI equipment, but we can also design and supply the distribution piping and network.
CPE also offers standard RODI systems. Our standard systems include 150 psi RO membrane housings with membranes designed for incoming water temperatures above 60F. The polyethylene storage tanks are equipped with hydrophobic/hydrophilic vent filters and non-contact level controls. Gould’s G&L stainless steel pumps are used for the distribution loop. Resin tanks are standard 3.6 cubic foot with mixed bed resin. Sanitizing 254 nm UV light includes light traps and is followed by a 0.2 micron final filter. Instrumentation includes flow and resistivity measurement. We can offer systems that are suitable for ASTM I, II, III, or IV, Types A,B or C; CAP Types I, II, or III; or USP 27.
A complete offering a pre-filtration equipment is available. This includes temperature control valves, water softners, multi-media filters, and mechanical filters. These are sized to match the RO equipment depending upon the incoming water quality.
Our standard offering of RO equipment is shown in the table below. The capacities shown on the table assume the incoming water is maintained between 75 and 80 F. Chlorine can not be present in the water which must be pretreated by a softner or antiscalant to avoid premature fouling of the RO membranes. Capacities assume the incoming water has a TDS of 2000 TDS. If your application does not meet these criteria, or our standard skid sizes need to be modified, we can provide the appropriate equipment and design to meet your needs.
