CHEMICAL FEED SYSTEMS
Corrosion Products and Equipment is in the unique position to distribute all the components of a chemical feed system. This includes chemical bulk storage tanks, level control and fill station control panels, transfer pumps, day tanks, chemical feed pumps, all required interconnecting piping and valves, and corrosion resistant coatings.
Our bulk storage tanks are constructed of the material best suited for the application. This includes coated steel, stainless steel, Teflon lined steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVDF, and FRP.
The fill station control panels can be provided for indoor or outdoor installations. These typically include digital display of each tank level, along with high and low level alarm functions. Most applications utilize non-contact ultrasonic level transmitters as the primary measurement instrument. Backup buoyancy high level switches provide secondary high level alarm functions. Panels are provided with form C dry contacts and re-transmission of tank levels when desired. The fill station panels typically control valves on the inlet lines to the tanks.

Transfer pumps are chosen for the individual application. Ansimag Teflon lined pumps provide chemical resistance for almost all chemicals. The magnetic drive incorporated in these pumps eliminates the need for a shaft seal. Sealed pumps can be used where appropriate. Corrosion Products and Equipment will pick the best seal arrangement for your application. Remember, CP&E was originated over 20 years ago as a distributor of Chesterton seals.
Chemical feed pumps are typically either electronic diaphragm metering pumps, or variable speed gear pumps. Jesco is our preferred brand of diaphragm metering pump. These include small capacity solenoid pumps, mechanically actuated metering pumps, and hydraulically actuated pump with capacities up to 1.3 gpm, and pressure ratings up to 4000 psi.
The picture below shows a system we recently shipped to Jamaica that includes PVDF pump head and piping. This system delivers sulfuric acid.

Other chemical feed systems are designed to feed chemicals directly from bulk containers as shipped from the chemical manufacturer. Most of these designs incorporate a platform to support the bulk container, and also include a secondary containment tank below the platform. A typical system is shown.
